Reaching out for help takes courage and strength.

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

Whether you’re going through a difficult period, needing to make a change, or simply wanting to get to know yourself better, I can help. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have expertise in helping people overcome anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. I am also passionate about supporting women navigate the complexities and stress of infertility, pregnancy, and parenting. I provide a warm, nonjudgmental, supportive approach, actively helping you to learn new tools and gain helpful insights. I use treatments based in science and tailored to you and your needs.

Treatment & Services

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques. Learn more about these treatments here.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is considered the gold standard treatment for anxiety, depression, and trauma. CBT is both short-term and active, meaning we will work together during sessions to get a better understanding of the thoughts and behaviors contributing to distress. We will then work on adjusting those thoughts and behaviors to improve mood and overall wellbeing.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT (pronounced act) is an empirically supported treatment for a variety of conditions, including depression and anxiety. The treatment uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies to reduce avoidance of unwanted thoughts, behaviors, and emotions, while committing to actions aligned with your values.

Mindfulness

The process of being aware of our present moment experience, on purpose, and without judgment. Mindfulness allows us to see things as they are, not how they want them to be. This increased awareness allows us to be intentional with our choices while also experiencing life more fully. Mindfulness has been scientifically shown to reduce stress, depression, and anxiety, while improving health. Mindfulness training can be done alone or in conjunction with other treatments.

Relaxation training

Focuses on increasing awareness of tension in the mind and body. Systematic relaxation methods are used (such as diaphragmatic breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, guided imagery) to reduce stress and improve wellbeing. Relaxation training can be done alone or in conjunction with other treatments.

I have expertise in treating teens, adults, and couples, particularly those experiencing:

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Depressed mood

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Trauma

  • Life transitions

  • Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders

  • Infertility

  • Distress related to medical diagnoses
